Taylor Swift dominated the Billboard Music Awards for the second time in three years, matching her 2013 haul of 8 trophies and leading the awards show franchise to another strong ratings performance. From 8-11 PM, the 2015 Billboard Music Awards (11.1 million viewers, 3.7 in adults 18-49), which kicked off with the premiere of Swift’s star-studded new video Bad Blood, was up from last year in both total viewers (+4%) and 18-49 (+6%). It was Billboard Music Awards’ most watched and highest-rated telecast since the franchise was revived in 2011 by ABC and Dick Clark Prods. ABC, which opened the night with America’s Funniest Home Videos (1.4, flat, 6.4 million) dominated the last Sunday of the season and the May sweep in viewers (9.9 million) and 18-49 (3.1)

Elsewhere on Sunday, Fox had season finales, CBS aired burn-off episodes of recently cancelled Battle Creek and NBC ran originals of the only 2014-15 series whose fate has not been decided yet, A.D.: The Bible Continues and American Odyssey, neither of which did anything to improve their survival chances.

The season finale of Fox’s The Simpsons (1.2 in 18-49) was even with last week. Brooklyn Nine-Nine‘s closer (1.1) was down -15%, while Bob’s Burgers aired a two-part finale at 7:30 PM (0.9) and 9:30 PM (1.2), down a tenth each from the show’s most recent outings in either time slot.

CBS aired I Love Lucy Superstar special (0.9), which was down from the previous I Love Lucy special in December 2013 (1.4). Back-to-back episodes of departing buddy drama Battle Creek (both at 0.6) were down -25% from last week’s airing to a new low.

Also hitting new lows were NBC’s midseason dramas A.D.: The Bible Continues (0.8, -11% from last week) and American Odyssey (0.4, -20%). American Odyssey‘s result matched the lowest 18-49 rating for an in-season, non-Saturday original telecast on the Big 4 networks.
