Writer-director W. Peter Iliff has signed with APA for film and television. Iliff is best known for his original screenplay Point Break, which starred Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves. Warner Bros is working on a remake of the cult classic to open on Christmas Day. Iliff sold his surfer crime thriller Glass Axes to Netflix last year and is attached to three scripted series set up at UCP, Relativity, and Electus and reality series Hot To Engage at Lighthouse Entertainment. Iliff also is penning the feature Beats Per Minute, for All Edge Entertainment and Fortress Features, which centers on a young American deejay’s treacherous rise to stardom in Amsterdam’s EDM scene. Other feature credits include Rights Of Passage, Patriot Games, Varsity Blues, and Under Suspicion. Iliff continues to be managed by Michael McConnell at Artists International Management.
Veteran comedy writer and showrunner Adam Small (Bad Grandpa, Mad TV), also has signed with APA. Small’s Employee Of The Week, co-written with Daniel Koren, is in development at Comedy Central, and Public Offenders, co-written with Trevor Moore, is in development at Disney XD. He also has a feature script, Breaking Up With The Bertners (co-written with his longtime partner Fax Bahr), set up at Imperative.
