Disney has been more than a little cagey about its $4 billion baby for the past couple of years, passing up opportunities at Comic-Con, WonderCon and the like. But today, it’s all Star Wars all the time at the Anaheim Star Wars Celebration LiveConvention Center. Star Wars Celebration Live is the first event dedicated to Luke, Darth and the gang in years, and you can follow the action here via livestream of the kick-off panel featuring J.J. Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy — director and producer of Star Wars: The Force Awakens — on the stage beginning at 10 AM PT. Also expected are Princess Leia herself, Carrie Fisher, and Peter Mayhew, the man behind (inside) Chewbacca. There’s also been speculation that the first official trailer will be dropped here so stay tuned.

The four-day Celebration features costumes, exhibits, a vibrant, interactive show floor, screenings, exclusive merchandise, celebrity guests, panels, autograph sessions, fan-inspired activities, and other surprises celebrating all things Star Wars.

Disney has been busy getting its ducks in a row for its massive Star Wars relaunch, most recently announcing that Star Wars VIII will bow May 26, 2017 and be written and directed by Looper‘s Rian Johnson. Also, the first stand-alone spinoff movie based on Star Wars — Star Wars: Rogue One — begins shooting this summer with Felicity Jones officially starring and as we told you last month Bloodline‘s Ben Mendelsohn is also orbiting that one.
