Disney Junior has renewed Sofia The First and Doc McStuffins for fourth seasons, returning all the main voice cast for the animated series that have been hits for both the network’s preschool-focused demo and Disney’s lines of businesses that include theme park attractions and consumer product lines.

Sofia The First and Doc McStuffins have resonated with viewers on many levels, but what’s especially gratifying is to hear a parent talking about how their child did something nice for someone or tried something new because that’s what Sofia or Doc would have done,” said Nancy Kanter, Disney Junior Worldwide’s EVP Original Programming and GM. “We are looking forward to bringing more stories with those types of aspirational messages to kids and families with these new season orders.”

Sofia The First, developed by Craig Gerber, sports the top two cable telecast of all time among kids 2-5. It centers on Sofia (voiced by Ariel Winter), a kind and courageous young girl who becomes a princess when her mom marries the king. While she lives in an enchanted fairytale world of castles, wizards and flying horses, Sofia experiences many of the same social situations as young viewers at home including fitting in at school, navigating sibling relationships and learning the importance of telling the truth. It already has spawned a spinoff: Elena Of Avalor is due on the network in 2016. Sara Ramirez, Wayne Brady and Tim Gunn also will return for Season 4. Jamie Mitchell is executive producer and director.

Doc McStuffins, created and executive produced by Chris Nee, centers on a girl who communicates with and heals stuffed animals and broken toys out of her backyard playhouse clinic. The returning voice cast includes Laya DeLeon Hayes as Doc, Loretta Devine, Lara Jill Miller, Robbie Rist, Jess Harnell, Andre Robinson, Kimberly Brooks and Gary Anthony Williams.
