An army of actors has joined Nicolas Cage in Endgame Entertainment and Condé Nast’s comedy Army Of One. Russell Brand, Denis O’Hare, Ken Marino, Paul Scheer and Rainn Wilson have lined up for director Larry Charles. They join the previously announced Wendi McLendon-Covey in the comedy that will be distributed by TWC-Dimension. The film was written by Scott Rothman and Rajiv Joseph and loosely based on a GQ article by Chris Heath.
The film is inspired by the true story of Gary Faulkner, a handyman from Colorado who receives a vision telling him to go to Pakistan to do what no one else can do — namely to capture Osama bin Laden. So without any questions or skills, he follows his mission.
Dawn Ostroff and Jeremy Steckler of Condé Nast Entertainment, Emile Gladstone, and James D. Stern of Endgame Entertainment are all producers on the film. Julie Goldstein and Lucas Smith oversee day-to-day production for Endgame, and Patrick Newall is serving as executive producer.
FilmNation Entertainment is handling international sales for Army Of One.
