Illumination Entertainment finally has a title for its upcoming toon with a voice cast that includes Louis C.K., Kevin Hart and Modern Family’s Eric Stonestreet. The movie now is The Secret Life Of Pets, and Universal Pictures has moved its release from February into the heart of summer. Pets has adopted the July 8, 2016 slot where it will face off with Paramount’s threequel Star Trek 3 and Fox’s comedy Mike & Dave Need Dates.

Directed by Chris Renaud and co-directed by Yarrow Cheney, Pets also features the voices of Ellie Kemper, Lake Bell, Jenny Slate and Albert Brooks. Illumination’s Chris Meledandri and his longtime collaborator Janet Healy are producing. The project is written by Brian Lynch and Cinco Paul & Ken Daurio.
