It’s been a very fast rise for Ken Segna at Starz. Five years after joining the pay cable network as an executive assistant, he has been named SVP Original Programming, working alongside SVPs Marta Fernandez and Karen Bailey. Segna, most recently VP Original Programming, is based in Starz’s Beverly Hills office. He will continue to shepherd new development and Starz Media logocurrent productions including series Power, Survivor’s Remorse as well as the upcoming 13-part anthology series The Girlfriend Experience, executive produced by Steven Soderbergh; and The One Percent, a 10-episode drama series from Alejandro González Iñárritu.

Segna also will manage the production of Counterpart, a supernatural thriller drama series starring J.K. Simmons with Oscar-nominated Morten Tyldum (Imitation Game) set to direct the first two episodes, and he serves as the development lead on original series American Gods, FremantleMedia North America’s adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s acclaimed urban fantasy novel.

Before joining Starz in 2010,  Segna was an assistant at CAA.
