Alloy Entertainment has attached Jane The Virgin star Gina Rodriguez and The Sessions writer-director Ben Lewin to Purple Hearts, a film project that Alloy commissioned internally by Alloy Entertainment Features. Written by Kyle Jarrow, it’s a love story about an aspiring musician and a soldier who marry under false pretenses but eventually find true love. Lewin’s The Sessions starred Helen Hunt. Rodriguez won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a TV Comedy for her work in the breakout hit Jane The Virgin. Elysa Dutton and Les Morgenstein of Alloy Features will produce alongside Amy Bear with Gidden Media.

Rodriguez is represented David Guillod at Intellectual Artists Management (A Division of Primary Wave) and Carlos Carreras of APA. Lewin’s lawyer is Craig Emanuel at Loeb & Loeb and CAA.
