Ghost Ghirls’ creators, Jeremy Konner and stars Amanda Lund and Maria Blasucci, are reteaming with Jack Black’s Electric Dynamite, which produced the well-received Web supernatural spoof, for a new comedy series project. The half-hour, set in a women’s basketball league, has landed at Comedy Central.
Created by and starring Lund, Blasucci and actress Angela Trimbur, the ensemble comedy revolves around a group of misfit women in LA who find new leases on life through their less-than-stellar all-girls basketball team. Konner is directing. The four are executive producing with Electric Dynamite’s Black and Priyanka Mattoo.
This is Konner’s third sale at Comedy Central following two projects that went to series, Drunk History and the upcoming Another Period. Lund and Blasucci are repped by WME, 3 Arts, and Ginsburg Daniels LLP. Trimbur is repped by Abrams Artists Agency, Principato Young, and Ginsburg Daniels LLP. Konner is repped by WME, 3 Arts, and Sloane, Offer. Electric Dynamite is repped by WME and Sloane, Offer.
