Sylvester Stallone is on board to executive produce S.T.R.O.N.G., an upcoming competition reality series from Sony Pictures TV.

S.T.R.O.N.G. (Start To Realize Our Natural Greatness) hails from The Biggest Loser creator/executive producer Dave Broome and stems from the two-year overall deal he inked with Sony TV last year. The show will feature six men and six women looking to improve their fitness who will be paired with trainers specializing in strength and conditioning. Like with The Biggest Loser, the series will chronicle the contestants’ transformation as they get eliminated until a winner is named.

Stallone, a fitness devotee who has credited his hard work in the gym for the longevity of his career as an action star, executive produces S.T.R.O.N.G. with Broome and Kevin Templeton for Sony TV and Broome’s 25/7 Prods.

This marks the return of the Rocky, Rambo and The Expendables writer, producer and star to reality television and NBC a decade after teaming with Mark Burnett for the boxing competition series The Contender.
