Pulse Films has named Patrick Vien to be its president. He’ll steer Pulse into non-scripted television and channel creation, in addition to its other core business sectors of branded entertainment, film and commercials. Vien spent 25 years in TV, music and digital. He was NBC Universal president of Global TV Networks, where he oversaw TV channel brands across 30 countries, and was chairman/CEO of Warner Music International, overseeing 50 labels. He also ran two U.S. cable network start-ups and most recently oversaw commercial activities for Tyra Banks, as president/COO of Bankable Enterprises. Pulse will expand its TV business in the U.K. and U.S. and launch online channels, working with CEO Thomas Benski, to whom he reports.

“The global disruption in the media market has created an unprecedented golden age for premium content and IP ownership,” said Vien, who’ll be based on New York.
