David Gelb sure loves good food. The filmmaker behind the 2011 doc Jiro Dreams of Sushi has the new series Chef’s Table debuting on Netflix on Sunday, April 26 at 12:01AM PST.  As the trailer above shows, Chef’s Table explores the lives of six renowned chefs at various corners of the globe –Massimo Bottura (Osteria Francescana in Modena, Italy), Dan Barber (Blue Hill Restaurant at Stone Barns and in New York City),  Francis Mallmann (El Restaurante Patagonia Sur in Buenos Aires, Argentina), Niki Nakayama (N/Naka Restaurant in Los Angeles), Ben Shewry (Attica Restaurant in Melbourne,  Australia) and Magnus Nilsson (Fäviken in Järpen Sweden) — as they tackle their ambitions to push cuisine to another stratosphere and set their craft apart.

A Boardwalk Pictures production, Chef’s Table is created, executive produced and directed by Gelb.  Clay Jeter, Andrew Fried and Brian McGinn also direct. Matt Weaver, Fried and McGinn also executive produce with Dane Lillegard as Co-EP for Boardwalk Pictures.
