CBS is fully aware that even with a BAFTA and a Tony to the Into The Woods actor’s credit, James Corden isn’t exactly a household name here in the U.S. So in the weeks leading up to his March 23 debut as the new host of the Late Late Show, the Brit has been popping up everywhere to raise his stateside profile. Among the gestures, there was a March 7 PaleyFest gig moderating The Good Wife panel. This week, Corden really jumped things up – literally.
Recently, as the video above displays, the OBE recipient climbed up on a billboard near CBS Studios in L.A. that was advertising his show. Then, with high-volume megaphone in hand, the 12:35 AM host-to-be made sure everybody knew he was there and that his debut was coming. Now you do too. BTW: the first guest on Corden’s first night as Late Late Show host? Mr. Tom Hanks — but you knew that.
