CSI: NY alum Hill Harper is returning to CBS with a co-starring role opposite Jake McDorman and Jennifer Carpenter in CBS’ drama pilot Limitless, based on the 2011 feature starring Bradley Cooper.

The pilot, executive produced by Cooper, follows Brian Sinclair (McDorman) as he discovers the power of the mysterious drug NZT and is coerced into using his newfound drug-enhanced abilities to solve weekly cases for the FBI. Harper plays Boyle, a former military officer who is now an FBI asset with experience testing the effects of NZT on FBI Special Agents.

Marc Webb is directing the pilot from a script by Craig Sweeny. CBS TV Studios, K/O Paper Products and Relativity Media produce, with Cooper, Webb, Sweeny, Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Heather Kadin, Todd Phillips, Ryan Kavanaugh, Tucker Tooley and Tom Forman executive producing.

Following the nine-season run of CSI: NY, which ended in 2013, Harper did a two-season stint on USA drama Covert Affairs. He is with Luber Roklin and Innovative.
