From The Extra Mile creator Studio Glam comes a new format to be proffered at Mip-TV that focuses on dating in the 21st century. FremantleMedia next month will launch Extreme Love, which challenges a group of modern-day Prince Charmings to prove their survival skills in order to win the hand of their princess. Ten logowould-be woo-ers from all walks of life will head to a remote location where they have two tasks: to compete for the affections of a modern-day maiden and to survive harsh living conditions and compete against the forces of nature, and one another, in order to survive. Says Studio Glam CEO and Exec Producer Ami Glam: “The search for the big new dating show has preoccupied industry creatives for quite some time. Extreme Love takes the TV dating world to the next level by being both real and reliable. By challenging the participants with extreme conditions, they have to explore their inner depths and not just perform for the camera.” The Danish version of Glam’s Extra Mile recently launched to very strong ratings. That format was acquired by Endemol in a multi-territory deal at Mip-TV last year.
