endemol shineAs it continues to streamline into a unified entity, and as the Mip-TV market looms, Endemol Shine Group has set the leadership structure of its separate international creative team and format sales business. A global content creator, producer and distributor, Endemol Shine Group was formed late last year as a 50/50 joint venture between 21st Century Fox and Apollo Global Management.

Under a new umbrella, Shine Network and Endemol’s Creative Operations, which both provided creative and production support to the companies’ global formats, have been brought together as Endemol Shine Creative Networks. Lisa Perrin, currently Manging Director of Shine Network, has been named to lead the division, reporting directly to Endemol Shine Group President Tim Hincks. Iris Boelhouwer, who has been Managing Director of Creative Operations for Endemol, will exit the company this summer.

Perrin’s responsibilities will include managing and coordinating the exchange of new ideas, creativity and IP across the group’s companies and supporting and guiding local adaptation of formats in new markets. Endemol Shine Creative Networks will be run out of the company’s headquarters in Amsterdam.

The format sales and acquisitions business will now be spun-out and managed separately, with Global Head of Format Distribution Ana Langenberg reporting to Group Commercial Officer Boudewijn Beusmans.

Langenberg’s will oversee international sales and acquisitions of scripted and non-scripted formats and will support the rollout of formats to territories where Endemol Shine Group has local production bases.

Perrin first joined Shine in 2009 as Creative Director at Shine TV, overseeing shows including The Biggest Loser for ITV. Langenberg came to Endemol in 1998 and has played a key role in setting up affiliates in Latin America as well as helping establish regional versions of global formats such as Big Brother, Wipeout and Deal Or No Deal. She also secured Endemol’s first pacts in India with Fear Factor, Big Brother and Strictly Dancing, which led to the launch of company’s Indian operation.

In the last week, Endemol Shine has set the agenda for its combined distribution entity, Endemol Shine International, and launched Endemol Shine Nordics which incorporates all group companies in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. The combined Nordic companies have a portfolio that includes MasterChef, Big Brother, Lilyhammer, The Money Drop and Bron (The Bridge).
