Tonia Davis Headshot_FotorTonia Davis, formerly exec director of production at Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures overseeing oversaw the Disney Staff Writing Program, has joined Chernin Entertainment as VP of film. She will report to Chernin film President Jenno Topping. Davis was part of a team that worked on several of Disney’s live-action films including Oz: The Great and Powerful, Million Dollar Arm and the upcoming Jungle Book, Tomorrowland and Beauty and the Beast. At Chernin, she is tasked with overseeing development and sheparding through productions.

Prior to joining Disney, Davis worked as an executive at Apparatus, a boutique production company at Sony founded by Marc Forster and Brad Simpson.  Prior to that, she worked for producers Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald.  She currently sits on the board of the national anti-poverty organization LIFT.
