Alias alum Carl Lumbly is set as a recurring guest star on CBS’ summer drama series Zoo. Based on the bestselling novel by James Patterson, Zoo is a global thriller about a wave of violent animal attacks against humans sweeping the planet. Lumbly will play Delavane,an enigmatic, veteran Interpol agent embedded within the hierarchy of the General Secretariat, who takes matters into his own hands, when faced with what he believes to be a global animal crisis. Lumbly, repped by Robbie Kass Management, next appears in A&E’s The Returned, and recently recurred on TNT’s Southland. Zoo premieres on June 30.
Newcomer Arielle Goldman (A Very Potter Senior Year) has booked a recurring role in Cinemax’s period drama The Knick. Set in downtown New York in 1900, The Knick centers on Knickerbocker Hospital and the groundbreaking surgeons, nurses and staff who push the bounds of medicine in a time of astonishingly high mortality rates and zero antibiotics. Goldman, repped by Generate and Stewart Talent, will play Genevieve, a worldly young woman with an adventurous spirit. The daughter of a shirt maker, she is a writer for Collier’s and is not afraid to shake things up.
