EXCLUSIVE– Olga Kurylenko (Quantum Of Solace) has joined the previously announced Jeremy Irons in Italian director Giuseppe Tornatore’s romantic drama The Correspondence. The film, set to shoot this spring in the UK and Italy, follows the love affair between a professor and a younger woman working in the same field.
The project re-teams the Academy Award-winning Tornatore (Cinema Paradiso) with production company Paco Cinematografica, distributor-producer Warner Bros’ Italy and sales outfit uMedia International. Tornatore previously made The Best Offer, about a master auctioneer (Geoffrey Rush) who becomes obsessed with a reclusive heiress, with the same team. The film won six David Di Donatello Awards, including Best Film, Best Director and Best Music. Regular Tornatore collaborator Ennio Morricone is also on-board.
Kurylenko recently starred in Russell Crowe’s directorial debut The Water Diviner. She is repped by Tavistock Wood Management and CAA.
