There has been a director change on CBS’ drama pilot Limitless, from CBS TV Studios, K/O Paper Products and Relativity Media. The Amazing Spider-Man helmer Marc Webb will direct the pilot, based on the 2011 feature starring Bradley Cooper. He replaces the film’s director Neil Burger who had been attached to also helm the TV adaptation but had to pull out for scheduling reasons as he is directing the Showtime drama pilot Billions, which is still filming in New York. Burger will remain an executive producer on the Limitless pilot alongside Cooper, Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci.

Written/executive produced by Craig Sweeny, Limitless follows Brian Sinclair, the character played in the film by Cooper, as he discovers the power of the mysterious drug NZT and is coerced into using his newfound drug-enhanced abilities to solve weekly cases for the FBI.

Also executive producing the pilot are Ryan Kavanaugh, Tucker Tooley, and Tom Forman through Relativity Television, K/O’s Heather Kadin as well as Todd Phillips, Cooper’s producing partner at Yet To Be Named Company.

(500) Days Of Summer helmer Webb previously directed the pilot for Fox drama Lone Star and most recently the Showtime musical comedy pilot Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
