Veteran multi-camera comedy director James Burrows has been tapped to helm the untitled Suzanne Martin comedy pilot for NBC and Universal TV and Bill Wrubel’s Joe Time for CBS and Warner Bros. TV.

The untitled multi-camera Suzanne Martin project, from the Hot In Cleveland team of Martin and Hazy Mills, chronicles how things backfire for recent empty-nesters when their children and their parents move back home. Martin wrote the script and is exec producing with Hazy Mills’ Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner. This reunites Burrows with Hazy Mills after he directed the pilot for the company’s NBC comedy series Sean Saves The World starring Hayes. And Burrows also was the director/executive producer of NBC’s long-running comedy series Will & Grace, which co-starred Hayes.

Joe Time, written/executive produced by former Modern Family executive producer Wrubel, centers on Joe, a family man who struggles with the fact that everyone around him is pursuing their dreams and enjoying their lives more than he is. At WBTV, Burrows has directed the pilots for such comedy series as The Big Bang Theory, Two And A Half Men, Mike & Molly and 2 Broke Girls.
