ITV Studios America has hired Lucienne Papon as SVP Scripted Television, joining from Martin Campbell Productions, where she helped launch the company’s ABC Studios-based TV division. In her new role she will oversee development of ITV Studios America’s scripted slate and execution of its programs. She will be based in LA and report to Senior EVP Scripted and Business Development Julie Meldal-Johnsen.
Papon co-executive produced ABC’s Killer Women while at MCP, where she originated the company’s business model of mixing traditional pilots and digital content. On the film side, she was associate producer on Edge Of Darkness and co-producer of 2011’s Campbell-directed Green Lantern.
ITV Studios America produces U.S. series including Hell’s Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares, The First 48 and #RichKids Of Beverly Hills, making it the biggest independent unscripted producer in the U.S. Papon will help on the ramping up of scripted fare; in the works are U.S. dramas Aquarius with David Duchovny and History’s Texas Rising.
“We have had a terrific start to ITV Studio America’s scripted division with several highly anticipated new series launching later this year,” said Meldal-Johnsen. “With Lucienne’s fantastic creative instincts and wealth of both TV and feature experience, we are looking forward to expanding our already exciting slate.”
