Rules Of Engagement alum Adhir Kalyan has become the first cast member of Frankenstein, Fox’s drama pilot written and executive produced by Rand Ravich and executive produced by Howard Gordon. Taking inspiration from the basic Mary Shelley mythology of a man brought back to life by scientists playing god, Frankenstein centers on Ray Pritchard, a morally corrupt retired cop who is given a second chance at life when he is brought back from the dead. Kalyan will play one of Ray’s creators, the quiet and brilliant Internet billionaire Otto Goodwin. Otto and his bioengineer twin sister Mary take on the ultimate challenge of reanimating a dead man.

Kalyan, repped by UTA and Thruline, also starred on the CW comedy series Aliens In America and recurred on FX’s Nip/Tuck. On the feature side, he most recently was seen in Ivan Reitman’s No Strings Attached and in the sequel Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2.
