The Duplass brothers are hot at the moment, and HBO is making sure they will continue to be on its roster, renewing the duo’s couples comedy Togetherness for a second season. “We began our love affair with HBO in our parents’ living room in 1983, and to have these brilliant creative people put a ring on our fingers with a second season of Togetherness is a real-life dream come true,” Jay and Mark Duplass said.

Togetherness has been quick to develop a following. The 427,000 Live+Same Day viewership for its series debut this month has grown to 2.6 million and counting on various HBO platforms.

Created by the Duplass brothers and Steve Zissis, Togetherness follows two couples living under one roof on the fringes of Los Angeles. Mark Duplass, Melanie Lynskey, Amanda Peet and Steve Zissis star. The brothers executive produce, with Zissis serving as consulting producer.

Togetherness‘ pickup and Girls’ renewal earlier this month leaves sophomore Looking as the only member of HBO’s current comedy lineup whose fate has not been determined yet.
