This is a rare feat: all scripted series on the CW’s fall schedule will make it to next season.
The network today gave early renewals to freshmen The Flash and Jane the Virgin for second seasons as well as The Originals (Season 3), Reign (Season 3), The 100 (Season 3), Arrow (Season 4) and veterans The Vampire Diaries (Season 7) and Supernatural (Season 11).
While most of the renewals were non-brainers, Reign and The 100 have been soft in the ratings and were considered bubble shows last season. Jane has not been a ratings breakout either but has drawn the biggest critical praise for a CW series, making it a shoo-in for a pickup.
Not all orders will be for full-season 22 episodes and not all shows will return next fall, with some of them possibly being held back for midseason and even summer, the CW president Mark Pedowitz said. But the network is not planning to ramp up limited runs despite the large volume of shows. Of the just renewed series, The 100 had a 16-episode second-season pickup.
“Each of these series have helped define what The CW is today, a network that is home to smart, provocative, quality programming, targeting a savvy adult audience,” Pedowitz said. “By picking up these shows now, our executive producers can start planning next season’s storylines, and rolling these shows out throughout next season guarantees. The CW will have more proven original series for our fall, midseason and summer 2016 line-ups.”

The 100 has broken records in the UK, season 2 has just started. Glad to see it has been renewed.
I thought te first half of S2 was good and what it needed to be getting everyone together. It’s been much less cliche-oriented than I expected and the twist and the mid-season finale was a total surprise when it came to main cast! I look forward to the second half and S3!!
1st they destroyed my favorite character’s morals(spacewalker) then they killed him so I’m not even sure if I want to watch any more but I probably will give it a shot just out of curiosity. At least for a while.

I’m glad to hear The 100 is coming back. The Jane the Virgin renewal, along with the Best Actress nomination, are good reasons for me to check it out.
I could see hart of Dixie and beauty and the beast becoming summer shows for the cw, much like cbs has done with under the dome

Great to hear that the CW’s genre heavy lineup is being renewed, and announced so early, well before the usual May announcements. I think this gives show producers a better ability to tailor the final episodes of this season knowing they’ll be back for more. And, what can you say about the amazing Supernatural, coming back for an eleventh season! That is virtually unheard of in this television age. Whereas other shows that have lasted awhile – ER, CSI, Law & Order – have undergone major cast changes, Supernatural keeps on going with the same two leads, which is also unusual-to have a show with only two leads. It’s a remarkable achievement in and of itself, but moreso in that the quality and ratings of the show are also stronger than ever. Evil beware-the WInchesters are here to stay!

The CW have really nailed this one. Finally it’s the fans over ratings, and so excited to see more of The 100. Congrats CW, hope this pays off big bucks for them!

‘Reign’ renewed? Shark has officially been jumped. Bad enough that most of the young cast is twice the age of their historical counterparts and the entire cast uses British accents speaking English in the Royal Court of 16th century France. Now, the show is lasting longer than the 2 year marriage of Mary Queen of Scot which ended upon the teenage King Francis’ death. Beyond silly.
Mary and Francis were like 15, so u r saying Toby and Addy are 30. Wow stupidity. Reign is the best show on TV now!!!

Supernatural must go on! Watched from season 1 on Netflix to season 10 now 11 will be another defining chapter the mark of cane, Sam trying to contain this monster that is Dean while Dean is trying to make himself belive he is getting better. They need to get rid of that mark nuff said, and get rid of it for Good. I am not a producer or director but I am guessing that mark isn’t going to disappear that easily and when it does it will have to be by destroying Crowley or something to do with Crowley or metatron. Maybe Castille but I really doubt there’s any other way out of Dean being a monster he needs that mark Gone and gone now! Crowley is ploting and maybe he will push the Winchesters too far, I mean did they forget he killed their mother. Man seems like ages ago. 4 horse man end of world, commandment finding, angel tablets, angel wars look guys if you haven’t watched Supernatural you are missing out. I’ve watched the other shows but supernatural really keeps you on the edge and if I could help write it. It would be fabulous but I won’t be so continue the good work!
