EXCLUSIVE: Aussie up-and-comer Sam Reid has joined the Paul Currie-directed 2:22 alongside Michiel Huisman (Game Of Thrones, Wild) and Teresa Palmer (Knight Of Cups, Point Break, ). Good Universe is selling in Berlin. The romantic thriller has gone through some casting changes, but now looks set with principal photography beginning on February 2 in Sydney.

Reid, whose feature credits include Belle and ’71, also had a role in TV mini Hatfields & McCoys and plays John Glen in ABC’s upcoming drama Astronaut Wives Club.

In 2:22, Huisman plays Dylan Branson, a man whose life is permanently derailed when an ominous pattern of events repeats itself in exactly the same manner every day, ending at precisely 2:22 PM. When he falls for Sarah (Palmer), a beautiful woman whose life is threatened by these strange events, Dylan must solve the mystery to preserve a love whose second chance has finally come. Reid is Jonas, the rival love interest.

Scripted by Todd Stein and Currie, 2:22 will shoot at Fox Studios in Sydney and in New York City. It’s produced by Walk The Walk Entertainment’s Steve Hutensky, Paul Currie, Wild Eddie’s Jodi Matterson and Icon’s Bruce Davey. Executive producers are Bill Mechanic, Todd Wagner, Ben Cosgrove, Jackie O’Sullivan, Todd Stein, Garrett Kelleher, Charlie O’Carroll and David Whealy.

Good Universe is handling international sales with Icon releasing in Australia. UTA is repping U.S. rights.
