The last time that Pharrell Williams lent his exceptional voice to a movie tune, kids went nuts and adults endured the irresistible Happy until our ears bled as the song helped drive Despicable Me to blockbuster status. Now, he’s teamed with his fellow The Voice judge Gwen Stefani in hopes of doing the same for The Weinstein Company film Paddington. They’ve made a video for the song, Shine, which will debut today on Yahoo and YouTube. Williams and Stefani have previously hooked up on several tunes including Hollaback Girl. Paddington comes to theaters Friday. Said Bob and Harvey Weinstein: “ Pharrell and Gwen’s song ‘Shine’ perfectly captures the fun, playful spirit of Paddington and it’s incredibly exciting to have a genius duo like these two lending their voices to the movie.” Here’s the video.
