With a major snowstorm bearing down on the Northeast and New York City in a general state of freak-out, the Broadway League announced that all performances Monday night — typically a quiet night, with most shows dark anyway — have been canceled. The city has already imposed an 11 PM travel ban, which would have made it impossible for intrepid suburbanites to get home from the theater.

League executive director Charlotte St. Martin said a decision about Tuesday night’s performances would be announced by 6 PM Monday evening.
