Ramin Bahrani’s 99 Homes has made the festival rounds from Venice to Telluride to Toronto en route to Sundance, where it screened January 23.

The director/co-writer talks about reaction to his film at various events and his personal connection to the Park City fest, where he became a mentor at the Sundance Institute lab.

Michael Shannon, who plays an oily real estate broker sent to evict a single dad (Andrew Garfield) and his family, says he wishes he had come to Sundance in its early days before it “established itself as probably the pre-eminent film festival in America.”

Have a look.
