Last night’s 20th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards was an extension, for some, of their Oscar nomination celebrations from the morning. For others—particularly contenders who were snubbed—it was a sobering affair. Ditto for Angelina Jolie, whose Unbroken only nabbed crafts nominations and none for her as director. TV personality Michael Strahan hosted and special tributes were awarded to Kevin Costner (Lifetime Achievement Award), Ron Howard (Louis XIII Critics’ Genius Award) and Jessica Chastain (the inaugural Critics’ Choice MVP Award).
