The Company, which Charlie Ebersol founded with Mike Lanigan, has named veteran corporate strategist Austin Katz COO. He will be responsible for strategic planning, business development and operations at the production outfit.

“Austin’s many successes in working with some of the world’s biggest brands makes him the perfect addition to our growing team,” said The Company CEO Ebersol.

Katz spent most of his career as VP of business development at Brand Sense Partners. Before joining The Company, Katz co-founded and served as managing partner of Emulsion Group, a consulting firm specializing in strategy, marketing and operations. Earlier in his career, Katz worked in the strategy and technical operations groups at Warner Bros., Infospace Mobile and Sony’s digital media investment group.

Launched in 2010, The Company is in the third season of its original series The Profit on CNBC and the fourth season of NFL Characters Unite on USA Network. Other projects include Space Jam 2 at Warner Bros., and its first scripted sale, Untitled Yale/Skull and Bones Project, with Rob Reiner, Andrew Lenchewski and Aaron Tracy on USA Network. Earlier this year, The Company teamed up with Israel’s Dori Media to form a new joint international production and financing venture.
