On the heels of Sarah Silverman’s Emmy win for writing her HBO special We Are Miracles, the actress-comedian is headlining a half-hour comedy pilot for the premium cable network. Written by Secret Diary Of A Call Girl creator Lucy Prebble, the untitled project is described as a comic look at a pathologically honest woman having a modern mid-life crisis. Prebble and Silverman executive produce with Ash Atalla, Amy Zvi and Dan Hine.

If the pilot goes to series, it would mark Silverman’s return to HBO’s lineup — her first two major acting gigs were on HBO comedies Mr. Show With Bob And David and The Larry Sanders Show.

She went on to headline her own comedy series on Comedy Central, which earned her an Emmy nomination for best comedy actress. In addition to the Sarah Silverman: We Are Miracles special getting an Emmy nomination for best variety special and a win for best writing, the companion We Are Miracle album was nominated for a Grammy for best comedy album.

Silverman, who recently recurred on Showtime’s Masters Of Sex, will next be seen in the drama feature I Smile Back, which premieres at Sundance. She is repped by Thruline, CAA, and Ziffren, Brittenham.
