Natalie Zea has been tapped as the female lead opposite Jason Jones in TBS’ untitled vacation comedy pilot from married Daily Show duo Jones and Samantha Bee.  The casting comes a week after ABC opted not to go forward with the straight-to-series drama Members Only, which starred Zea. She was pursued for multiple projects immediately after she became available, picking the TBS pilot as her next vehicle. This marks the first comedy starring turn for Zea and a reunion with new TNT and TBS topper Kevin Reilly who cast her in The Following while at Fox.

Written by Jones and Bee based on their own experiences with family getaways, the untitled project will follow a family as they take a road trip to Key West. Jones plays hopeful dad Nate, who hops in the car with his wife Robin (Zea) and two young kids for a 24-hour adventure to the Keys. An offbeat but warm woman who can’t understand why her husband Nate has “cheaped out” and cashed in their airline tickets right before their family vacation, Robin is now stuck in a car with her two unruly kids as this impromptu road trip is taking a hellish turn, and every leg of their journey is fraught with unforeseen disaster. Should the pilot go to series, each season will chronicle a different trip.

Zea, repped by UTA, manager Robert Semon and attorney James Feldman, also will return for the final season of FX’s Justified, reprising her role as Winona Hawkins.
