The 24th annual Gotham Independent Film Awards, held Dec. 1 at Cipriani Wall Street, honored Birdman and Boyhood during a night attended by awards season MVPs, which included Michael Keaton, Steve Carell and Tilda Swinton. Best feature film went to Birdman, while Citizenfour took home the best documentary award. Keaton and Julianne Moore were awarded best actor and actress statuettes, respectively. The Audience Award went to Boyhood while Swinton and director Bennett Miller both received special tributes.
