Comedian Rachel Feinstein, who has appeared in several episodes of Comedy Central’s Inside Amy Schumer, is getting a shot at her own Comedy Central series executive produced by Schumer. The network has given a pilot order to the untitled project, a field-driven sketch show that focuses on Feinstein out on the street using her social experiments and character-based comedy to explore and skewer gender, class and stereotypical issues in sketch and character-driven pieces. Schumer and Feinstein are executive producing the pilot with Kim Caramele and Honest Engine’s Nick McKinney and Meghan O’Hara.
In addition to their collaboration on Inside Amy Schumer, Schumer and Feinstein co-headlined a Women Who Kill stand-up show in 2012, which aired on Showtime.
Feinstein, a finalist on Season 7 of NBC’s Last Comic Standing who has done two Comedy Central Presents specials, is repped by Innovative Artists, Levity Entertainment Group and Jackoway Tyerman. Here is a glimpse of her stand-up and a skit featuring her and Schumer as well as their Women Who Kill cohorts Nikki Glaser and Marina Franklin.
