TLC is reviving the fashion genre on its lineup and bringing back Stacy London, in Love, Lust Or Run, debuting on Friday, January 23 at 9 PM. This time she’ll strip down over-the-top women; 12 episodes have been ordered from True Entertainment.
In every half-hour episode, viewers will be introduced to a woman dedicated to outrageous fashion, after which London will peel away the hair extensions, too-much-makeup, etc. and give them a makeover. Episodes will culminate with London asking strangers on the street to rate the woman’s transformed as “Love” “Lust” or “Run” — hence the show name.
London was one of the two co-hosts of What Not To Wear, and the only one to survive the show’s entire run. Wayne Scot Lukas was her co-host for the first season and Clinton Kelly thereafter. In the show, the style couple would ambush unsuspecting fashion-less folk who’d been nominated for a makeover by friends, co-workers and/or family. What Not To Wear premiered on January 18, 2003 and became one of TLC’s flagship shows. TLC canceled the show in 2013 after 10 seasons, making it one of the longest-running makeover shows on TV.
“For me, this new series was an evolution of What Not to Wear, and not wanting to leave the style space made this a perfect opportunity for me,” London said in today’s announcement.
