EXCLUSIVE: Heida Reed, who will next be seen in the anticipated BBC/Masterpiece drama series Poldark, has signed with ICM Partners. Based in London, the Iceland native has credits that include a co-starring role on TF1’s Paris-set crime series Jo opposite Jean Reno, as well as turns in Silent Witness and the Anne Hathaway feature One Day.

In Poldark, Reed plays Elizabeth Chenoweth opposite Aidan Turner’s titular character. The eight-part period saga is an adaptation of Winston Graham’s novels which begin in 1783 as Ross Poldark returns from the Revolutionary War in America to his beloved Cornwall only to find his world in ruins and his sweetheart (Reed) pledged to marry his cousin. The series is set for air next year in the UK and the U.S. The BBC previously adapted the first four books of the Poldark novels in 1975.

Reed is also repped by The Artist Partnership in London and Untitled Entertainment.
