A jungle bear comes to London and perks up the lives of a local family in Paddington, a CGI/live-action adaptation of the beloved children’s books from Harry Potter producer David Heyman. Ben Winshaw voices the cuddly ursine creature who wreaks havoc while dispensing even greater amounts of cuteness. Hugh Bonneville and Sally Hawkins star as the parental units along with Peter Capaldi and Nicole Kidman as a villainous taxidermist with stuffing on her mind. The voice cast also includes Imelda Staunton and Michael Gambon. Director Paul King wrote the screenplay from a story by Michael Bond, who wrote the book series that launched in 1958. The Weinstein Company opens the pic January 16.
