Lowe’s is testing out robotic sales staff going into the holiday season, John Oliver reported on HBO’s Last Week Tonight, adding that it’s a terrible idea.

“Sales associates at home improvement stores are not there to help people find things — they are there to stop couples from tearing each other apart. If you really want to test your marriage, go buy home supplies together,” Oliver said, before pitching Home Depot his idea for their new ad campaign, starring Offerman.
