Gaumont International Television, the Los Angeles-based TV production arm of the French film studio Gaumont, has hired industry vet Tim Stephen for the newly created position of SVP Business, Legal Affairs. He will be responsible for negotiating a wide range of agreements spanning traditional scripted programming, new media platform agreements, traditional television licenses, and all aspects of production, reporting to Sam Semon, EVP, Business Operations.

Prior to Gaumont, Stephen served for six years as EVP of Business and Legal Affairs for Generate where he was instrumental in completing the sale of the company to Alloy Digital. Preceding Generate/Alloy, Stephen held Business and Legal Affairs positions at Cartoon Network and Lionsgate. In a producing capacity Stephen served as President of Adam Productions and Executive Producer of The Dennis Prager Show. He began his entertainment career with positions at MGM/UA, 20th Century Fox Television and ABC Productions.
