The big spring bow of Doctor Zhivago at the Broadway Theatre will be led by newcomer Tam Mutu in the title role and stage regular Kelli Barrett (Wicked) as the object of his affections, Lara. The production, staged by Des McAnuff (Jersey Boys) will also feature Tom Hewitt as Komarovsky and Paul Nolan (McAnuff’s recent revival of Jesus Christ Superstar) as Antipov. Tickets are slated to go on sale Monday, December 1, with performances beginning March 27, 2015 and opening on April 21.

The credits include a book by Michael Weller (the screenplays for Ragtime and Hair), music by Lucy Simon (The Secret Garden), lyrics by Michael Korie (Grey Gardens) and Amy Powers (Ella Enchanted), and choreography by Kelly Devine (Rocky).
