Saturday Night Live‘s Cecily Strong has been tapped as featured entertainer at the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner next spring.

“Her political humor is sly and edgy, and it comes with a Chicago accent,” said WGCA President Christi Parsons in a statement.

Strong will have an edge when it comes to targeting journalists at the event. Her dad served as Associated Press bureau chief at the Illinois statehouse. Parsons also notes Strong will be the fourth woman who has served as featured entertainer at the dinner, scheduled for April 25.

Strong is known for her SNL Weekend Update character The Girl You Wish You Hadn’t Started A Conversation With. She grew up in suburban Oak Park, IL, and got her start in Chicago’s comedy scene with stints at iO and Second City.
