Longtime VH1 talent and development exec Trevor Rose has been promoted to SVP Talent and Series Development. He will continue to oversee all talent, responsible for talent relations, casting, and series development for the network, reporting to Susan Levison, EVP, Original Programming & Production. “Trevor is a savvy executive, and using his unparalleled rolodex, he’s been successful in attracting top tier talent to VH1 over the years,” said Levison. “He’s smart, aggressive, and knows our brand inside and out – all excellent qualities that will serve him well as he takes the helm leading talent relations for the network.”
Rose most recently served as VP, Talent & Development. he is credited with helping secure Nicole Richie, whose series Candidly Nicole increased ratings in adults 18-49 by 50 percent in its time period and has been renewed for a second season. Rose also placed Amy Paffrath as host for the network’s hit summer series Dating Naked, which has also been picked up for a second season. In addition, Rose has secured talent for signature VH1 series such as Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew and Couples Therapy With Dr. Jenn.
Since joining VH1 in 2004 as an assistant in the talent and creative development department, Rose established network relationships with such talent as Kevin Hart, Chris Rock, Marlon Wayans. He also was integral in bringing in La La Anthony, whose series La La’s Full Court Life has aired for five seasons on VH1, and has helped lock in top talent for VH1 tentpole events, such as VH1 Rock Honors, VH1 Divas, VH1 Hip Hop Honors, Pepsi Super Bowl Bash, and the You Oughta Know concert.
