The Angelina Jolie-directed film Unbroken is one of the few Oscar season films we’ve not seen yet, but Universal Pictures has released another impressive trailer showing the incredible ordeal that Louis Zamperini endured after the Olympic track prodigy fell into the hands of Japanese tormenters in a prison camp in WWII. The film is based on the superb Laura Hillenbrand book, and this trailer gets to the heart of how an iron will gave Zamperini the fortitude to survive unimaginable abuse at the hands of a prison camp guard. Zamperini eventually forgave this abusive bully when he embraced religion after WWII. From here, it looks like Jolie, Jack O’Connell and his cast mates have honored an American hero, who waited over 50 years to see his story brought to the screen, but died just short of the finish line at age 97.
