Pascal Desroches has been named EVP and Chief Financial Officer for Turner Broadcasting System. The position had been held by John E. Kampfe following the company’s CFO John K. Martin’s ascent to Chairman and CEO of TBS at the beginning of the year, succeeding longtime Chief Executive Phil Kent.
That changeover created a seismic leadership shift at TBS that still is ongoing. David Levy was promoted to President of the company in summer 2013, his new report Steve Koonin, longtime President of Turner Entertainment Networks, exited this spring, followed by the recent departure of TNT and TBS’ President of Programming Michael Wright. Turner’s flagship entertainment networks are still without a programming topper, with former Fox Chairman Kevin Reilly and Sony Pictures TV’s Zack Van Amburg actively talked about.
Desroches will assume the CFO post on January 1, reporting to Martin. Desroches was most recently SVP and Controller of Time Warner Inc., serving as the company’s principal accounting officer. He joined TW in 2001 from KPMG LLP,
