The Flash TV show debuts on the CW tonight, a spinoff of the mini-network’s hit DC Comics-based drama Arrow. Deadline reviews the show, whose opening episodes have left some questions about whether The Flash will be fast out of the blocks, or stumble in the first turn. One saving grace: the great Jesse L. Martin, too long gone from view, is making a welcome return to the small screen.

Grant Gustin plays Barry Allen, i.e., the fleet-footed one. The show also stars Candace Patton and Rick Cosnett, and was developed by writer/producers Greg BerlantiAndrew Kreisberg and Geoff Johns.

If you watch the show, let us know what you think. Will The Flash run ahead of the pack (as suggested by the huge interest in it at Comic-Con this summer and on social media), or will it be left in the dust?
