Veteran movie stars still have a pull with Saturday Night Live audiences, and Jim Carrey proved it last night.
With him as the week’s host, SNL drew a 4.1 household rating in the metered markets and a 2.2 adults 18-49 rating in the local people meters. That is up 8% in households and up 22% in 18-49 from SNL‘s last original hosted by SNL cast alumnus Bill Hader.
Last night’s show with musical guest Iggy Azalea also edged the season premiere hosted by Chris Pratt (4.0 in HH, 2.0 in 18-49) to log season-high ratings for the late-night franchise. This was SNL‘s highest household number since the March 8 show hosted by Girls creator/star Lena Dunham, which also posted a 4.1.
