Online marketing veteran Don Wilcox will join PBS’ digital team next week, working under Ira Rubenstein, the recently named SVP and GM of PBS Digital. Wilcox will oversee PBS.org and PBS Digital Studios, and oversee programs that help the public broadcaster’s local affiliates drive membership.

Wilcox was most recently VP and General Manager of Branded Entertainment for Fox, where he oversaw operations and strategy for Fox.com, AmericanIdol.com and TheXFactorUSA.com. Like Rubenstein, Wilcox was a senior executive at Sony Pictures interactive. He also previously worked in digital positions with ABC, NBC and Microsoft.
