Ami and Ilan Glam’s Tel Aviv-based Studio Glam came away from Mip-TV in April with a multi-territory deal for social experiment reality competition The Extra Mile. The show that sees divorced couples forced to team up in order to win cash prizes for their kids got a production commitment from Endemol in 12 markets and sold in more than a total 20. It aired in Israel and performed well this summer on Channel 10. Later this month at Mipcom Glam is moving from social experiment to social network, officially unveiling a new project to international buyers. Like Share Please is a documentary format that’s akin to televised Facebook, but the trailer below makes a more compelling argument that that concept would suggest. It’s currently in production for Israel’s cable outlet Channel 8 Hot. Studio Glam describes the show as a unique means of storytelling that uses the power of social networks. In each episode, one Facebook sharing request is followed from the moment the post is published, to when a solution or help for the issue raised is found. Each episode tracks the origins of the post and the account of the person behind it. Then, the show focuses on the people who have offered to help by responding to the original post. There’s a real human interest feel to it. See for yourself:
