Two-time Oscar nominee Jacki Weaver is set to star in James Franco’s Zeroville. She will play the lead role of Dotty, a film editor who acts as a mentor and friend to James Franco’s character. Zeroville is an adaptation of the 2007 Steve Erikson novel about a 24-year-old student who arrives in Hollywood in 1969 with dreams of breaking into the movie business during a transitional time in the industry. Franco is directing. Caroline Aragon and Vince Jolivette are producing.
Weaver can next be seen in the Starz comedy series Blunt Talk opposite Patrick Stewart. Created by Jonathan Ames and produced by Seth MacFarlane, Blunt Talk has a 20-episode, two-season, straight-to-series order. She will also star with Kristin Stewart and Nicholas Hoult in Equals and is currently toplining the Fox crime drama Gracepoint.
